Getting a GST invoice on group air tickets for your company

What details to share so the invoice is in your company name, and the small mistakes that delay input tax credit.

By the AirRJ Group Desk · Updated 4 Nov 2026

For corporate groups, the invoice matters almost as much as the fare. If GST details are not attached at booking, getting them added later is slow and sometimes impossible. Here is what to do upfront.

Details to share at booking

  • Company GSTIN
  • Registered company name exactly as on the GST certificate
  • Registered address and state
  • Company email for invoices

Share them with the enquiry, not after ticketing.

Who issues what

The airline issues a GST invoice for the air fare portion. Any service fee charged by AirRJ is invoiced separately by us. Both will carry your GSTIN when details are given at the start.

Common mistakes

  • Using a branch GSTIN from a different state than the one intended for credit.
  • Company name abbreviated or misspelt.
  • Asking for GST to be added after the travel date.

Quick answers

Can GST details be added after the tickets are issued?

Sometimes, if requested soon after ticketing. The safest approach is to share them at booking.

Is GST charged on domestic air tickets?

Yes. GST is part of the fare and the applicable rate depends on the class of travel. The invoice shows the breakdown.

Airline group rules differ by carrier, route and season, and they change. Treat this guide as a planning aid — the fare rules written on your AirRJ quote are what apply to your booking.

Travelling with 10 or more people?

Send us the route, rough dates and head-count. A Group Desk executive will come back with airline options, the fare validity and the date by which names are needed — usually the same working day.
