Wedding flights are the hardest group bookings we handle — not because of the airline, but because of the guest list. Guests come from different cities, confirm late, change their minds and often expect the family to sort everything. A bit of structure early on saves a lot of phone calls in the final week.
Split guests by departure city first
A "wedding group of 80" is rarely one group. It is usually 35 from Delhi, 20 from Mumbai, 15 from Bangalore and a few from abroad. Each city is a separate group block with its own fare. Make that list first; it decides everything else.
Decide who is paying
Families handle this three ways: the host pays for everyone, the host pays for close family only, or guests pay for themselves at the group rate. Decide before you request quotes — it changes how the booking is structured and who receives the invoices.
Block seats early, confirm names late
For wedding season (roughly November to February), request fares 2–3 months ahead. Block a number slightly below your expected head-count — it is usually easier to add a few seats later than to drop seats after paying a deposit.
Think about the arrival time
- Arrive the day before the first function, not the morning of it.
- For Udaipur, Jodhpur and smaller airports, there are fewer daily flights, so book those first.
- Coordinate arrival times with the hotel shuttle so guests are not waiting at the airport for two hours.
Elderly guests and special assistance
Wheelchair assistance, aisle seats and meal preferences can be added to individual passengers in the group. Tell us which guests need help when you send the name list — airports need advance notice for wheelchairs.
Baggage for wedding outfits
Lehengas, sherwanis and gift boxes add up. Domestic economy fares often include 15 kg of checked baggage; extra baggage is much cheaper prepaid than at the airport counter. Ask us to add it in bulk for the family.
Quick answers
Can wedding guests pay for their own tickets at the group fare?
Yes. We can hold the group fare and collect payment and names from each family separately, as long as everything is in before the airline deadline.
How many guests do we need for a group fare?
Usually 10 or more flying from the same city on the same flight.
What if the wedding date changes?
Tell us immediately. Whether the group can be moved depends on the fare rules and seat availability on the new date.
