The airline changed our group's flight. Now what?

Schedule changes are common. Here is what you are entitled to and how we sort it for the whole block.

Airlines change schedules all the time — new seasons, aircraft changes, airport slots. For a group, a two-hour change can disrupt transfers, hotels and events. Here is what to do.

Small changes

A minor change of a few minutes usually needs no action. We inform you and the booking stays as it is.

Significant changes or cancellations

When an airline significantly changes or cancels a flight, passengers are generally offered an alternative flight or a refund. In India, DGCA's Civil Aviation Requirements set out passenger rights for cancellations and delays, including compensation in certain cases.

How we handle it

  • We contact you with the new options as soon as the airline notifies us.
  • We try to keep the group together on the replacement flight.
  • If you choose a refund, we process it for the whole block.

On the day of travel

Keep the Group Desk number handy (+91 78388 48340). If a flight is delayed or cancelled at the airport, call us before queueing at the counter — we can often rebook faster.

Quick answers

Do we get a refund if the airline cancels?

Generally yes, or a free alternative flight. The refund also applies on non-refundable fares when the airline is the one that cancels.

Airline group rules differ by carrier, route and season, and they change. Treat this guide as a planning aid — the fare rules written on your AirRJ quote are what apply to your booking.

Travelling with 10 or more people?

Send us the route, rough dates and head-count. A Group Desk executive will come back with airline options, the fare validity and the date by which names are needed — usually the same working day.
