Dubai group trips from India: flights, visas and timing

Dozens of daily flights, two nearby airports and a visa every Indian traveller needs to sort out before flying.

By the AirRJ Group Desk · Updated 4 Nov 2026

Dubai is the most popular international group destination from India, for incentive trips, family holidays and trade shows alike. Flights are plentiful; the planning work is in visas and dates.

Airports

Dubai International (DXB) is the main airport. Sharjah (SHJ) is about 30 minutes away by road and is often cheaper. Some groups fly into one and out of the other.

Visas

Indian passport holders generally need a UAE visa arranged before travel. Some Indian travellers who hold certain valid visas or residence permits (such as a US visa) may be eligible for a visa on arrival. Check the current rules with the UAE authorities or your airline before you book — they change.

Best months

November to March has the most comfortable weather and the most events. Summer is very hot but hotel prices drop.

Trade shows

Large exhibitions push up hotel and flight prices for the same week. If you are visiting a show, book as soon as the dates are announced.

Quick answers

Do Indians need a visa for Dubai?

Generally yes, arranged before travel. Some travellers with certain valid visas or residence permits may be eligible for a visa on arrival; confirm the current rules before booking.

Airline group rules differ by carrier, route and season, and they change. Treat this guide as a planning aid — the fare rules written on your AirRJ quote are what apply to your booking.

Travelling with 10 or more people?

Send us the route, rough dates and head-count. A Group Desk executive will come back with airline options, the fare validity and the date by which names are needed — usually the same working day.
